The Mentor You Never Knew
It has been suggested in recent media that some new options for the sale and leasing of property could emerge as disruptors in the industry.
Actually, over the last 20 years there have been many attempts to dumb down the real estate process. They can provide a sign, a newspaper advert, now an online posting on realestate.com. One new site even offers the limited use of a “mentor”. While selling your property yourself could save you up to 50% of the commission usually charged by an Agent, you would have to wonder about the combined ability of a busy seller and a remote mentor…
Our Agents typically work 12 hour days and spend much of their time building relationships with buyers so that they can negotiate appropriately when the time is right, using competition to get the best result for their seller. I wouldn’t get a haircut online (even with a mentor) and I would always use an Agent to market and sell my property.
